Breannas controversial Selfie

“First let me take a selfie” (CRR)

Breanna Mitchel took a selfie on June twentieth In the Auschwitz concentration camp. Not only did she show disrespect to me she showed disrespect to a lot of other people in the world. I do see a problem with Breanna Taking “selfies” in the Auschwitz camp. The Auschwitz camp was a place where the Nazis showed the Jews and other disliked races how they felt about them. They put strong people to work in the concentration camps, and they sent the weak people, or elders, and children to the gas chambers.

Usually when you take a selfie you make a face for how you feel about where you are or what you are doing. Like if you are at a party you would make a smiling or funny face or something along those lines, and if you are in a sad place you would make a sad face or something. I think it is pretty bad to smile in a place where so many bad actions, and memories for some people.

If think about her story or her side, she does say that is was for the remembrance of her dad. Her parents had told her when she graduated she could go anywhere in the states. Her favorite subject was social studies and that is why she chose Auschwitz. She was also saying how the only thing she liked in history is the holocaust, and WWII. Her dad passed away a year before she got to choose where she wanted to go. So maybe this was her happy place where she could remember the good times with her dad. I started to understand her point, and I was sort of in her shoes and understood how she felt, she was saying “I didn’t mean any harm,” but then I looked at her comment and saw the blushy/smiling face. That right there made me think that she was happy to be in that dark gruesome place. I totally changed my mood on that emoji.

So I would recommend not taking controversial photos. This suggestion will not only make you not hated but it will save you from being made fun of, and being called nasty things.
